Jummuah & Congregational Prayers CANCELLED

Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters,

Our religion places utmost importance on the health and sanctity of human life. As an exception during times of danger to human life, our Prophet Muhammed (SAV) has prescribed the replacement of “Hayya Ales’Salah” with “Assalatu Fi Buyutikum”, pray at home, in the call to prayer.

Following the advice of State and Federal authorities, and to protect our community, ICMG Australia has decided to take the following measures:

  • All Friday prayers starting the 20th of March inclusive will not be performed
  • All congregational prayers starting Thursday the 19th of March inclusive will not be performed.
  • All public events, including the Lailat-ul Miraj program, will be cancelled.
  • Our mosque will remain open for those who wish to pray in isolation or for those seeking spiritual counselling and religious guidance.

These decision will remain valid until a new statement is made.

May Allah (SWT) allow us to overcome these difficult times. We pray for the health and wellbeing of the Australian community and the whole of humanity.
